Twilight: New Moon is the second movie in the popular Twilight series. Starring Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner, Twilight: New Moon follows the tumultuous journey of teenager Bella Swan, played by Stewart. Directed by Chris Weitz and filmed mostly in Vancouver, Twilight: New Moon is based on the best selling novel by Stephanie Meyer. Fans around the world are anxious to see this second installment brought to life as part of the continuing Twilight saga. The movie is set to be released on November 20, 2009 but we have it first! :)

In the first installment of the Twilight series, Bella moved to Forks, Washington to live with her father. As she settled into her new life in the small, sleepy town, she became deeply drawn to a peculiar young man named Edward Cullen, played by Pattinson. As their relationship deepened, Bella discovered that Edward was in fact a vampire. While Bella was enthralled by the revelation, Edward was horrified, and resisted pursuing relationship with Bella despite his strong attraction. Yet, as Bella and Edward were drawn closer, they were unable to fight their feelings for one other. When other vampires decided to exact revenge by taking Bella, Edward and the rest of his family embarked on a desperate chase to save Bella.

Twilight: New Moon follows the next chapter in the lives of Edward and Bella. Though out of risk for now, Bella and Edward are forced to continually to struggle with the differences between them. These differences are intensified when one of Edward's adoptive siblings loses control and attacks Bella, which leads Edward to break off the relationship and flee from Forks. Heartbroken, Bella turns to her old friend, Jacob Black, played by Lautner. The rest of the movie follows Bella and Edward on their dangerous and separate journeys as they try to find a way to cope without one another.

The first movie was an instant success, captivating fans world wide with the powerful portrayal of these beloved literary characters. Opening in 2008, Twilight was an atmospheric romance, providing a balance of teen drama and rich fantasy. Grossing 35.7 million dollars on its opening day, the film earned a total of 7 million during its theater run. Though critics were mixed on the film, the fan response was undoubtedly positive.

There are several major changes in the production of Twilight: New Moon, including director Chris Weitz. The first film was directed by Catherine Hardwicke, but in a surprise decision, Hardwicke chose not to rejoin the second project, leaving some to worry about artistic consistency in the series. Controversy also swirled around Lautner's role, which was nearly recast due to the extreme physical demands of the role in the second movie. To compensate, Lautner underwent extensive training to fully prepare for his important part. Lautner's transformation is one of the most anticipated reveals of Twilight: New Moon.

Clearly, with this much anticipation, Twilight: New Moon is likely to be another smash hit, leaving fans salivating for the next film in the series.
